First skincare product based on natural dew
NATTAPHOL. Narongsorasak claims to be the first person in the world to develop skin care products from natural dew.
After spending almost 14 years in advertising agency JoyBoy Group, Nattaphol Decided to develop his own branded products with natural dew as their major ingredient.
Nattaphol Spend almost 5 years developing such products, Starting with drinking water, which was launched into the market three years ago. The drinking water made from natural dew is now available in Thailand and 11 other markets, mainly in Europe.
Nattaphol, 38, wi managing director of Naturally Dew Company, which he founded three years ago. The company yesterday launched DEWellness ELIXIR, the world’s first natural dew spray, which it hopes will shake up the skincare market.
“I got the inspiration from a monk on pilgrimage who suggested that I consume natural dew for its health benefits, especially its function in helping detoxification,” said Nattaphol. Since then, he has looked for appropriate methods of harvesting natural dew.
“DEWellness is produced using state-of-the-art technology for atmospheric dew harvesting developed in the United States. We have imported machinery from the US at the cost of Bt15 million. We also have a 1,200-rai natural dew farm in Khao Yai in Nakhon Ratchasima [ province ], and a factory in Lat Krabang district in Bagkok, to produce both drinking water and skincare products using natural dew as the major ingredient.
He said the factory was now producing 1,200 bottles a day of drinking water and 8,000 bottles a day of DEWellness ELIXIR Normalizing Facial Mist.
The facial-care product comes in 50-millilitre bottles that sell for Bt625 each. A 300ml bottle of drinking sells for Bt120.
“We plan to export our DEWellness ELIXIR to Japan, Shuth Korea, Laos and Vietnam next year. We also plan to extend the line of products made from natural dew to other beauty products as well as functional drinks. We will spend about Bt200 million on product development over the next two years,” Nattaphol said.
Most cosmetic products, especially for skincare, are 90 per cent water. The main feature of dew is that it has oxygen molecules that help it disperse in much finer detail, giving it greater efficacy when it is used as a facial spray.
DEWellness ELIXIR spray is made from pure dew harvested from a facility covering more than 1,200 rai (192 hectares) in tambon Pong Talong, Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima.
The company says the product is suitable for every type of skin, but especially sensitive skin. It is rapidly absorbed deep into the skin layers, which improves oxygen content and moisture, keeping the skin smooth and radiant.
